Jon Calvano Head Coach
Coach Calvano has been developing players since 1998 and is currently General Manager of the North West Giants Major Midget AAA Team .
Prior to going the Rivermen Coach Calvano was Assistant GM and Associate HC of the Langley Rivermen of the BCHL , General Manager and Head Coach of the Coquitlam Express of the BCHL, Coach Calvano enjoyed tremendous success coaching the North West Giants of the BCMM AAA League were he won three Provincial Championship and in the Macs Midget AAA Christmas Tournament, lead the Giants to the finals three times, winning the event in 2010.
Calvano’s focus on individual player skills and Individual Tactical Development has helped many players obtain their goals in Hockey with tremendous observation and Coaching.
Coach Calvano has helped develop many of today’s young stars from Matthew Brazal, Dante Fabbro, Ryan Nugent Hopkins (Red Deer Rebels NHL Ranked #1 ) to Kyle Turris ( Phoenix Coyotes ) to Karl Alzner ( Washington Capitals ).
